Mendeley es una herramienta indispensable a la hora de recopilar las literatura de mi investigación, su integración con Word mediante CITE es genial y ahorra horas y horas de trabajo cuando te encuentras redactando tu trabajo y quieres honrar el trabajo de otros creadores de contenido documental mediante citas. Me gustaría no tener que usar tantos programas para eso. Por el momento uso Liquid Text para leer PDF, Evernote para escribir y relacionar textos, Mendeley para citar y finalmente Word para la construcción final. Creo que tienen mucho potencial de crecimiento, más si recibe una opcion de búsqueda booleana como la ofrece Evernote o una integración como es posible en Obsidian para no tener que depender de otros programas para leer, anotar y hacer síntesis. Compré la aplicación movil, pero nunca funcionó. Hecho de menos su integración en dispositivos IOS ya que no tengo la opcion de investigar desde el Ipad o el Iphone y añadir bibliografia como lo hago en PC. Mendeley me parece un gran software, me ayuda mucho a la hora de citar rápidamente. But thus mainly depends on what kind of computer you use. Besides that, mendeley can sometimes also give trouble whilst loading into word. A lot of my fellow students, have a lot of problems trying to figure out how everything works. It's not the most beginner friendly programs. Mendeley also has a great word application which let's you add all your references in world together with a library of all the used references for in your report. But if you don't have a DOI, you can also quite simply add all the information yourself. You can easily add reports to your list if tou have the DOI number of said report, it automatically fills in all the information you need to have for your reference. Mendeley is a great application as reference manager. It's difficult to learn, but once you do it'll save you a lot of time manageging your reference for a report PROS Overall Mendeley is a great reference manager. However, this is a rare occurrence, and most of the time, the information is extracted automatically.

The only downside is that sometimes Mendeley is unable to extract all the necessary paper information automatically, such as the authors and date, and requires manual input. The best feature is the automatic reference list creation, which saves me a lot of time and hassle when writing papers in the correct format.

I also love the Mendeley extension, which makes it easy to download papers directly from Elsevier and quickly add them to my library. All my papers are stored in one place and can be accessed on any device using my Mendeley account. Mendeley has been a game-changer for me in terms of organizing my research papers.

Moreover, it is not possible to search within the texts of documents without opening them specifically.

Additionally, there is no option to retrieve sources based on the assigned number in the text (in the case of numerical citation styles like ISO 690).
This can result in the same article being cited under different numbers.
CONSĪs a downside, I found that it is possible to upload the same article multiple times, and there is no alert or effective way to search for and remove duplicate documents. The subsequent use of the Word plugin is very intuitive and straightforward.

What I liked the most about Mendeley is the Mendeley Web Importer extension for the browser, which makes adding articles to the library very easy and quick compared to the traditional method of downloading PDF documents and then uploading them. I primarily used Mendeley for writing my final thesis, where working with a large number of citations was necessary. Overall, Mendeley helped me manage a large number of citations and made writing my final papers and scientific review articles easier.
